Instagram counts a profile visit every time somebody taps through to your page, whether from a post, a story, a comment or search. It is the closest thing the app gives you to a measure of curiosity, and it sits in the insights panel of a creator or business account.
This page adds 13 visits to the account you name, once every 6 hours. Enter the username rather than a link; the target is the profile page itself, so there is no post to point at.
Because it is a private figure, the usefulness is narrow and worth stating plainly. It helps when you are watching how a campaign or a bio link performs over a week; it does nothing for the impression a real visitor gets, since nobody else can see it.

Use a professional account
Profile visits only appear in insights, and insights only exist on creator and business accounts. On a personal profile the delivery happens with nothing for you to read.

Enter your exact username
Copy the handle from your profile address, the part after instagram.com/. A typo sends the visits to somebody else's page and cannot be reversed.

Verify and send
Complete the security check and press send. The result screen gives you a request ID to keep in case you need to ask about the delivery.

Read the insights panel later
Open Insights from your profile and look at the profile visits line for the current period. Figures update on a delay, and a new request opens after 6 hours.
What you should know
- The profile visit count is private to you. No visitor sees it and it never appears on the profile page.
- Insights are only available on creator and business accounts, so a personal profile cannot display the result.
- The account has to be public; a private profile cannot be opened from the outside at all.
- Insights work in periods, so the number lands inside the current window rather than showing up as a live ticker.
- Profile visits are not followers. Nobody arriving through this request will follow you, comment or message you.
- A new request for the same account opens every 6 hours, counted per target and per internet connection.

Where exactly do I find profile visits?
Open your profile, tap Insights, and look at the profile visits line for the selected period. Personal accounts do not show that panel at all.
Can anyone else see the number?
No. It is a private metric in your own insights. Visitors see your posts, your follower count and your bio, never your visit figure.
How many visits arrive and how often can I request them?
13 visits per request, with a new one available for the same account every 6 hours. Both numbers come from the live settings of the system.
Will this bring me followers?
No. A visit is a page open, nothing more. Followers come from what somebody finds when they arrive, which is down to your content and your bio.
The insights line has not moved. What should I check?
Insights refresh slowly and work in periods, so wait several hours. Then confirm the account is public and professional and the handle was spelled correctly.
Does it need my password?
No. The username is the only input, it is public information anyway, and nothing is installed on your device.
Is this the same as reach?
No. Reach counts accounts that saw a post; profile visits count openings of your profile page. They are separate lines in insights and separate services here.
