Open the post, tap the three dots at the top right and choose "Copy link". The address begins with instagram.com/p/ and points at that single post.

On a private profile the post cannot be reached from the outside at all, so switch to public under Settings and privacy before you send anything.

Complete the security check and send. The share total appears in the insights of that post, so look there rather than under the photo. A new request opens after 6 hours.
What you should know
- The share count is private to you and lives in post insights, which only professional accounts can open.
- Your post is not delivered into anybody's inbox or story. What changes is the counter.
- One post per request, named by the link you paste; there is no way to cover a whole profile.
- Nothing is installed and no password is requested, here or on any page of this site.
- The same post can take a new share request every 6 hours, and Instagram may recount the total afterwards.
