What you should know
- A story has to be live when the request runs. If your last one expired, publish a new frame before sending.
- The account must be public. On a private profile only approved followers can open a story, so the delivery fails.
- You will see the accounts in your viewer list, because Instagram shows who watched. They are provider side accounts, not people who will reply.
- Story views are counted separately from post views, likes and reach; this request touches none of those.
- Deleting the frame ends the delivery, and the remainder is not carried over to your next story.
- One request per profile every 6 hours, so pick the story that actually matters rather than the first of the day.

Yes, and this is where most failed requests come from. The provider views whatever is live at that moment, so an empty profile means nothing to deliver to.
How many views arrive and how often can I ask?
48 views per request, and the same profile can take a new one every 6 hours. Both figures are read from the live settings of the system.
Will I see who viewed it?
Yes. Instagram lists every account that opened a story, including these, so the names will sit in your viewer list alongside your real audience.
Which frame gets the views if I posted several?
Usually the newest one. We cannot promise more than that, so post the frame you care about and send the request immediately after.
Does it work on a close friends story?
No. A close friends frame is visible only to the list you chose, and the provider is not on it, so nothing can be delivered.
Is a password ever needed?

My story expired before the delivery finished. What happens?
